STEINHAUS Concert Installation_1 of the Gustav Mahler Private University

In this concert installation, students of the New Music Department at the Institute for Musical Performance Arts at the Gustav Mahler Private University will present themselves for the first time in ensemble formations as well as soloists in the Domenig Steinhaus. Works by established and internationally renowned contemporary composers such as Kaija Saariaho, Tristan Murail and Wolfgang Rihm will be performed. Among them are two brand-new world premieres by GMPU composition students Filip Laštro and Stefan Rothschopf, composed especially for the Domenig Steinhaus.

Works by: Luciano Berio, Eber García Condes, Hermann Kretzschmar, Filip Laštro (world premiere), Tristan Murail, Filippo Perocco, Aribert Reimann, Jaime Reis, Wolfgang Rihm, Stefan Rothschopf (world premiere), Kaija Saariaho, Edgar Varèse.

Performing: Ensemble for New Music of the Gustav Mahler Private University Klagenfurt (conductor: Prof. Steven Loy) as well as Andries Cigulea, Maurizio de Luca, Elisabeth Mair, Helena Pirker, Tomica Oskoruš, Lovro Varga.
